Qigong & Pranayama
The introductory course invites you to explore the connection between movement and breathing through the practice of Qigong and Pranayama.
In the 10 lessons you will learn some basic techniques and can then practise them with pleasure on your own.
Description
Qigong is a more than 5000 years old Chinese tradition of self-cultivation of body and mind and combines a variety of different energetic exercises. Movement, concentration and breathing are always combined in the practice of Qigong.
In Original circle Qigong the focus lies on circular movements. Regular practice improves physical health, mental clarity and emotional balance. The exercises involve gentle, flowing movements that can be performed by people of all ages and fitness levels.
Pranayama is the fourth limb of Raja Yoga and brings together body and mind through breathing exercises. The Sanskrit name is made up of the words ‘prana’ (life force or energy) and ‘ayama’ (control or expansion).
The techniques improve physical and mental well-being through relaxation, expansion of lung capacity and increased concentration.
